-Thinkspace pt.1

I have been currently working on my first solo show for Thinkspace Gallery in Los Angeles, scheduled this coming October.

Though I don't want to show too much stuff for it yet, here's a pencil sketch for a 30"x48" oil painting I'm working on titled "The Conjoined Bell".

I'm super excited/nervous about the show. It's still a ways away, so I'll remind you guys as it approaches.

-Shirt

This should be turning into a t-shirt for Boe Weaver, a small-psychedelic-instrumental-outfit from the UK.
Not sure how you'd be able to get one yet.
Not sure when I'll have any new prints up either, but I'll let everyone know beforehand.

The nice people over at Fuse Gallery curate a traveling and ongoing drawing show titled "Draw". The website isn't really updated fully at this point, but you can browse most of it HERE

I have a drawing for their San Francisco event on April 11th. Heres the info....

Thanks.

-Just an update

This is pretty much the highest resolution i have of this painting from 2003 which sucks because I liked this painting.

"Madaline" 12"x16" oil on wood.

Here's the close up of the original drawing.

I did end up doing an updated version based on it.

"Ivan" 15"x20" 2006

And here is a small commission I did a while back.

Untitled "Mother with Child" from 2007. I think it was 6"x9".

-Sketchbook Filler

Sketchy drawing of the cash register at Hotel Delmano. A clipping from The Onion that accurately explains my mindset upon booking my trip to Portland.
A horribly drawn cup and the correct sequence to win the wooden peg jump game every time.

Sketch of the band Child Abuse at Union Pool last summer.

On the opposite end of the music spectrum, here's Leah and Drew Victor playing at the Annex.

A view outside of a Parson's art school window and view inside a doctor's office waiting room.

Based on the little icons in the upper corner, I must be talking about, tapioca bubble tea, my friend Janicza, and something to do with wedding rings and shrimp bbq's.

-Still working...

House of Mystery 14

Straight forward. Werewolf. Machine gun.

Here's the pencil drawing, I should have made the wolf side look as if it was coming out from under her skin in the final painting. See the zigzag line between the eyes? That's where I was indicating some "tearing", I should have stressed the divide instead of blending them.
Below are the preliminary sketches.

That's all I got this week. Sorry.

-Fell In Love 10 Times Today

The weather was absolutely incredible this weekend in NYC.
People were out in full bloom...

Ink sketch for one of the paintings I'm working on. Though I've been super busy this week, don't have anything to show just quite yet.

Here's Soybean high on static.
