House of Mystery 14
Straight forward. Werewolf. Machine gun.
Here's the pencil drawing, I should have made the wolf side look as if it was coming out from under her skin in the final painting. See the zigzag line between the eyes? That's where I was indicating some "tearing", I should have stressed the divide instead of blending them.
Below are the preliminary sketches.
That's all I got this week. Sorry.
esao.

the stuff looks really good but i agree that you should have stressed the divide more and not blended it so much. haha and no need to apologize the stuff you posted this week was really good man.
ReplyDeleteyeah, no appology necessary. loving the work though.
ReplyDeleteExcellent, always interesting to hear about and see your process.
ReplyDeleteI suppose it depends on your message. An emphasized split might indicate a separate being, like a demon possession or mental disorder. The blending, to me, indicates a personality hidden, an aspect of herself that the world doesn't see. I like the painting as it is, and yet I think I'd also like it the way you imagined. Good stuff.
ReplyDeletekeep posting each monday! always great stuff. I'm still counting down the days to your thinkspace show. I have high hopes that I'll get me another original
ReplyDeleteAwesome. What kind of drawing tablet do you use for your sketches, or was there one in particular you would recommend? I hope to pick one up soon and I've done some research and was just curious.
ReplyDeleteLove the new stuff like always...I would love to see the other sketch of the werewolf and child as a painting.
